You know you watch too much TV when…

I do watch a lot of TV. It’s all in the name of better writing. At least that’s what I tell people. It helps with dialogue, pacing etc. But I know it’s getting out of hand when I get messages like the one my sister left for me today. On the chalkboard on the landing going upstairs: DON’T PANIC. The cable is out. Has been since 2 pm. They’re working on the problem. It’s affecting the entire area.

By the time I got home everything was working fine. But before she left for work around 4:30 it was still out. I had to laugh. She knows me well. I would have started to panic if it was getting close to CSI time and the cable was still out.

After talking to Margery today I decided to dust off my historical and send that to Harlequin in the UK. Couldn’t hurt and at least I’ll have another manuscript out there.

I’m off to watch Stargate SG-1 now. Then it’s off to bed. Another snow storm heading our way and I’m highly motivated to take the bus tomorrow. But that means I have to get up early.

Happy blogging!

    Ok Cindy,
Time to just say NO to Cable. You’re addicted!! We won’t judge you but it’s time to have an intervention. :o )

Makes me glad I’ve got satellite to back up the cable.

I liked that “Don’t panic” part. Sometimes I think I watch too much TV too, though I desperately try to qualify it as “research.”

Christine – I could never say no to cable. Unless I had satellite.

Tori – I like that satellite back-up. I should think about doing that.

Olga – it’s all just research. That’s what I tell myself and everyone else.
