Mary, yeah the bugs were never fun. We all forgot to bring bug spray last night but it was cool enough that the bugs stayed away.

Barbara, drive-ins were one of the many things I loved about summer when I was younger. I’m glad we’re going to be doing it more.

Cindy – I rememeber drive-ins! I don’t think we ever went to one in my hometown, but my older cousin used to take us to the drive-in when we visited them. It’s a good memory from a lot of my summer vacations!

Oh, and I vote for screen #2.

Oh, yes! My family went to drive-in, the only we we could see movies. No television.
We’d go in daddy’s 1950 Ford. Sometimes there would be more than on cartoon before the main feature.

The playground equipment was cool but the mosquitoes were not.

And then there was the guy in college who took me to see Janet Leigh get stabbed in a shower. He expected me to cling to him and make out. NOT!

Loved double feature nights.

Edie, that’s too funny. He must have been embarrassed.

Anna, that would explain why he’s never been to one and neither has his mother. They both came to Canada from England. Whenever you’re on this side of the pond you should check one out.

Margaret, LOL. I’m a night person. I’d be able to stay up for three movies.

Tori, that’s a long time. Great movies to see at the drive-in though.

Donna, that’s very funny. I can just imagine everyone yelling that.

Karin, that’s what I remember. Going with my parents and their friends who had kids my age and my sister’s age. It was a lot of fun.

Therese, they’re gone from where you are too? It’s too bad your kids won’t be able to experience the drive-in.

Kathleen, I think that’s their purpose. To bring back memories. The one we’re going to opened in March. Don’t know how long it’s open until.

Cindy, I remember drive-ins! In Northern Michigan, they were only open about 3 months out of the year (summer, obviously!) Drive-ins bring back memories of hot summer nights, of mosquitoes buzzing your ears in the car, and the windshield fogging up when you cracked the windows mostly shut to try and keep out the mosquitoes …

The drive-in is long gone; now part of a 5-star property and top-rated golf course … but thanks for the memories!

Cindy I love the drive in! We used to pile our kids into the truck and head on out for the night. it was always fun.

I remember seeing a drive-in movie in 1962 where a woman pranced around with no top. The main character took off her blouse and I never knew that a woman’s breasts could be ugly…we could hear people in other cars yelling, “Put it back on.” What a different era.

At least today, you can pack an ice chest and bring cold drinks.

I’d see Hangover, it’s sophomoric, but if you want to sell a screenplay, and can think of something like this, it should sell. From what I read, there are no ‘big wage’ actors in it, so it’s a true money-maker. Could well be a career maker for an actor.
