I hope everyone had a great time last night however you celebrated. We had a small party that was a lot of fun. The guys spent a lot of time downstaiars watching the hockey game. Most of the girls spent their time upstairs with the music. It was a great game. Canada won 5-4 in a shoot out.
So the New Year is time to reflect on last year’s goals and post this year’s goals.
I didn’t do very well on last year’s goals. I didn’t read two books a month. I think for all of 2009 I read eight books. I didn’t finish writing a book or a screenplay so that meant no agent hunt. I did critique more. I entered one screenplay contest, not two. I did take two workshops and I gave lots of workshops. For the personal goals I only spent time family and friends.
This year I have a bunch of new goals:
Writing related:
Read 2 books a month
Watch 100 movies
Write 100 words a day every day
Critique more
Take at least 2 workshops
Give screenwriting workshops
Personal:
Save more
Start the Wii Fit
Spend time with family and friends
Work out a work-writing-life balance
